Friday will bring us another round of mostly sunny skies, light winds and even warmer temperatures pushing 90 degrees. We haven’t hit 90 degrees in Columbus since August 8th. An Air Quality Alert will be in effect tomorrow for sensitive groups as the weather conditions will lead to more smog formation. Smog forms when the sun bakes the pollutants from our vehicles, factories and other sources. Young children, the elderly and folks with respiratory conditions are urged to limit outdoor activities.
Dry and warm conditions will likely continue into the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 80s to near 90 both Saturday and Sunday with a slight increase in humidity. Our next best chances for rain will come Monday and Tuesday with highs in the low to mid 80s.
Alerts: Air Quality Alert in effect through Friday.
Inconvenient Weather: None.
