A church canceled services after burglars broke into their house of worship and picked it clean.
Usually the Deeper Life Bible Church, located along Saint Clair Avenue, holds services on Sundays and Wednesdays. Wednesday’s service was canceled after thieves left the church in shambles.
Associate Pastor Felix Oppong said that the thieves stole electronics and even the security camera recording device.
“We’re just a small church, so we don’t have much money,” Oppong said. “We even have problems with our mortgage.”
Oppong said that he hoped to have things cleaned up before Sunday’s services.
