The Ohio State Highway Patrol said that it was conducting a sobriety checkpoint on Saturday when an alleged drunken-driver crashed through its traffic cones.
According to the OSHP, 20-year-old Tyler Gardener crashed through the checkpoint, located on U.S. Route 52 near state Route 335 in Scioto County.
Gardener was stopped and charged in connection with drunken-driving.
During the checkpoint, 432 drivers were contacted, and 15 were diverted for further investigation. Five of those drivers were cited for having no license or driving while under suspension.
