The Hollywood Casino is on schedule to open in Columbus on Oct. 8. 10TV was given a first look at the sprawling venue.
The Hollywood Casino looks like any other building under construction from the outside, but you can see the casino coming to life on the inside.
Ameet Patel, Hollywood Casino Columbus VP/ General Manager said that there is nothing like it in central Ohio.
"Every part of the operation, casino, whether you look at our restaurant product, whether you look at our layout, ambiance, interior design that we're working on, is parallel to none," Patel said.
The venue features 3,000 slot machines and 108 gaming tables. A Hollywood theme permeates the venue.
Patel said that he thinks the food, most of which will be made from scratch, will bring gamblers and tourists alike. A buffet will seat 300 diners with100 in a private dining area.
An enormous steakhouse will feature showcases filled with Hollywood memorabilia and a quick stop restaurant will offer everything from a cup of coffee to a sandwich.
At 120 acres, the Columbus casino will be larger than the other two in Ohio.
