Police said that three men shot an 82-year-old woman during an attempted break-in early Monday morning.

Police said that when the men were unable to enter a Belcher Road apartment, they started shooting at the front door. Katie Jackson was struck in the arm and leg.

Anmarie Moucha said that she was shaken by the sounds she heard Monday morning.

"I was about to get into the shower when all of the gunshots happened," Moucha said. "I counted five (gunshots,) but then I stopped counting, I hit the floor."

Police said that at least 12 shots were fired.

"I thought it was right underneath me," Moucha said. "My floor was shaking, it was crazy."

Investigator said that a friend transported Jackson to Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital, in Westerville. She was expected to be OK. Detectives were working to get a description of the three men.
