Central Ohio Authorities Ramping Up Patrols For Drunken Drivers

Central Ohio law enforcement agencies are taking part in a national campaign to curb drunken-driving.

The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign started Friday and ends Sept. 3.

Ohio State Highway Patrol's Bucyrus Post will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint from 9 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday along County Road 330, west of U.S. Route 30 and east of Stetzer Road in Crawford County.

In Delaware, authorities will conduct a sobriety checkpoint along U.S. Route 23 in Delaware County from 10 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities will be in Washington Court House from 9 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday along West Court Street at the intersection of Circle Avenue.

Investigators said that Clark, Crawford, Cuyahoga, Delaware, Franklin, Hamilton, Knox, Licking and Scioto counties were all scheduled to have sobriety checkpoints over the weekend, also.
