Investigators were working to track down a gunman responsible for a deadly shooting on Thursday morning.
Deputies said that 21-year-old Sharron Hayes was struck by gunfire around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday while inside a home on Berrell Avenue in northeast Columbus.
A woman called 911 and told dispatchers someone had fired shots into her home, striking the man. Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene.
The events leading to the shooting were under investigation.
