Experts warned of a troublesome scam that could lead to malware on your computer.

Consumers will get an email claiming to be from eFax, an internet fax service, containing a reference number. The email promises a two-page fax. However, clicking the provided link can lead to malware installation.

Representatives from eFax said that they are aware of the scam and advise all customers to delete the messages.

A customer questioning the validity of an email should contact the company before opening.

Representatives said that genuine eFax emails will contain attachments, not links to content.
