Franklin County Commissioners approved money to expand the Columbus Kids program into the west side and the Hilltop neighborhoods.
Columbus Kids is a program designed to increase the early detection of developmental delays in preschoolers.
The program is led by the United Way of Central Ohio and is funded by Columbus City Schools, Columbus City Schools Education Foundation, the Franklin County Board of Commissioners, JP Morgan Chase Foundation, The Limited Foundation and individual donors.
In two years, the program has given Learning Checkups to nearly 5,000 children.
