Interstate 70 was reopened in Guernsey County after three crashes occurred along the road during a short time period.

According to investigators, a rig collided with a truck hauling a horse trailer along I-70 west near mile marker 194 ½, around 6 p.m. The crash closed the road in both directions.

The horses were not injured during the crash. A veterinarian was called to the scene to keep them calm while crews cleared the scene.

Two other crashes occurred a short time after the rig crash along I-70 west. No serious injuries were reported from either crash.
