Police continued to search for answers about a south side shooting on Monday.
Authorities said that several people were outside a home, located along the 900 block of Carpenter Street, when a gunman fired shots from the sunroof of a passing SUV around 11p.m. Sunday.
Police found multiple bullet casings at the scene, leading them to believe the gunman used an assault rifle.
Three people were struck by bullets and transported for medical attention. Police identified the victims as Sharon Ramsey, Anthony Wallace and Johnnie Horton. All three were listed in serious condition.
Witnesses told police that the gunman fled in a black SUV. Detailed descriptions of the vehicle and gunman were not immediately released.
