One central Ohio bride got a huge surprise during her wedding at the Ohio Statehouse.
Cyrus Chastain and Jillian Hardie exchanged vows in the Statehouse Rotunda on Saturday.
What Hardie did not know was that the brother she had not seen in years was watching from around the corner.
Matthew Vanderboegh has been stationed in Germany and serving with the armed forces in Afghanistan.
"I was like, he looks familiar but I had never seen him in a kilt before," Hardie said. "I've seen him in his army fatigues but never like this. I had to take a double take. I didn't know what to think because I just got married so I already had emotions going through my head."
Hardie said that when her mother asked her what her one wish was for her wedding, it was to have her brother there.
She and her new husband plan to honeymoon in England.
