Police were searching for two men who attempted to rob Burger King employees on the east side.

The armed men walked into the restaurant, located at 6475 Tussing Rd., and demanded money from the safe. One of the men pressed a gun to the supervisor’s head during the incident.

The men were unsuccessful in their attempt and fled the scene a short time later. Police did not immediately release what deterred the men from completing the robbery.

There were no reports of injuries. Detailed descriptions of the would-be robbers were not available.
