Police Searching For Man Accused Of Kidnapping, Raping Woman

Police were searching for a man accused of kidnapping and raping a woman.

The victim told police that she was stranded on Aug. 4, so she accepted a ride from a man named Robbie Jefferson.

According to police, Jefferson, 44, abruptly pulled into the parking lot of a closed business. The victim attempted to flee when Jefferson allegedly knocked her unconscious.

Investigators said that Jefferson forced the victim into the backseat before he choked her, punched her and sexually assaulted her.

Police said that Jefferson abandoned the vehicle when it became disabled.
