Authorities said that a Cleveland-area man has been arrested for carrying a gun, ammunition and several knives into a showing of the "The Dark Knight Rises" in Westlake.

According to police in North Ridgeville, Scott Smith, 37, entered the 10:20 p.m. showing at Crocker Park Regal Cinemas with a bag full of ammo and knives.

A movie theater manager was suspicious of Smith and his bag when he entered the theater.

The manager and an off-duty police officer working security searched Smith's bag and found the items. He was arrested without incident.

Smith's home was also searched Monday night. No other details have been released, but more information is expected later on Tuesday.

James Holmes, 24, is charged with killing 12 people and wounding 58 at a midnight showing of the "The Dark Knight Returns" in Aurora, Colo., on July 20.
