Voters in nine central Ohio counties will head to the polls on Tuesday to vote on local issues.

Many of the issues center on local school levy and bond requests.

Special elections are being held in 31 counties across the state Tuesday.

School districts trying to pass tax initiatives include the Bucyrus City School District in Crawford County; Buckeye Valley Local Schools in Delaware, Marion, Morrow and Union counties; Groveport-Madison Local Schools in Franklin County; and North Fork Local Schools in Licking and Knox counties.

Eden Township in Licking County is looking to pass a 3.5-mill levy for fire protection and emergency medical services.
