Two women were arrested and charged after a tip led officers to a home where they allegedly found 78 balloons of heroin in the shower.
The Lancaster Eagle Gazette reports Fairfield County Sheriff's deputies said a tip came in that cars frequently were visiting a home along the 9600 block of Valentine Road in Stoutsville.
Officers with the Street Crime Reduction and Apprehension Program, or SCRAP, went to the home Thursday. They said the two women there, Amy J. Grambo, 32, of Stoutsville, and Melissa J. Fowler-Grambo, 31, of Circleville, gave them permission to enter.
Officers allegedly found a large amount of empty heroin bundles in a bathroom garbage can, the report said.
When investigators checked Fowler-Grambo's purse, they reportedly found a balloon full of heroin.
Investigators said one of the women allegedly admitted the two were selling heroin out of the home.
Four children were inside the home at the time of the bust. They were released to other family members.
The two women were taken into custody and charged.
Grambo was charged with the possession of heroin, a third-degree felony, and trafficking in heroin, a second-degree felony. Melissa Fowler-Grambo was charged with possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony, and possession of a drug abuse instrument, a second-degree misdemeanor.
The women were scheduled to appear in court in the next two weeks.
