President Obama took time out of his campaign in Ohio Wednesday to call our radio sister station, 97.1 The Fan.
During the interview, which aired Thursday evening, the president talked about the Olympics, his favorite the White Sox and also the Penn State controversy.
When asked about The Ohio State Football, he said he does not think the penalties from last year will hurt the team in the end.
“The thing about Ohio State football and the legacy of that program, a couple years without a bowl is not going to crush that team,” Obama said. “They'll still be able to get recruits.”
President Obama was in Ohio Wednesday, making stops in Mansfield and Akron.
