UPDATED: Thursday August 2, 2012 3:43 PM

This Morning: Mostly clear and mild.

This Afternoon: Mostly sunny and hot. High 93

Tonight: Partly cloudy, warm and muggy. Low 68

Tomorrow: Partly cloudy, hot and humid. High 96

Discussion:
High pressure will keep us dry today with mostly sunny skies and hot temperatures. Highs will top out in the low 90s for most of us. Because this type of weather helps to increase ozone formation, an Air Quality Alert is in effect today. Ground-level ozone levels are expected to be high enough to be considered unhealthy for sensitive groups of people, including people with heart disease, respiratory disease (such as asthma), active children, active adults, and seniors.
Friday will be hot and humid with highs in the mid 90s. Skies will be partly cloudy with just a slight chance for a late-day storm. Better chances for rain head our way this weekend. Scattered storms will be possible Saturday afternoon and evening. Sunday will bring occasional showers and storms.

Alerts:   Air Quality Alert

Inconvenient Weather: It will be hot and more humid with highs in the low 90s.

Planning Your Day:  Look for mostly sunny skies through the day with temperatures quickly warming. Highs will top out in the low 90s.
