Investigators were working to identify a woman suspected in three armed robberies.
The woman first struck on July 22, when she walked into the 56 Mini Mart, located along state Route 56, and approached the clerk with one hand behind her back. She asked the price of cigarettes before demanding the clerk keep her hands where she could see them.
The robber took money from the store before telling the clerk to wait in the bathroom and count to 100.
Two days later, the woman entered the IGA Express, located at 25 N. Harrison St., in Tarlton, and asked for an application. She then displayed a gun in the waistband of her pants while demanding all of the money from the cash registers. She then ordered the clerks into the store's restrooms before fleeing the scene.
On July 26, the woman was spotted at the 56 Mini Mart again, but this time she entered the store and made a purchase. The clerk followed the woman outside and watched her walk to a gray Chevrolet Cobalt. While the clerk was outside, a man wearing a blue hooded "rebels" sweatshirt ordered the clerk back into the store.
The man demanded money from the registers before ordering the clerk into the bathroom and fleeing the store.
Investigators described the woman as white with brown hair, and she appeared to be in her late 20s. She stood 5 feet 5 inches and weighed approximately 180lbs. She had tattoos on her right arm.
