Police said that a woman escaped an attempted kidnapping on the east side.
According to police, a man got out of a white van and attempted to grab the 19-year-old woman near the intersection of South Champion Avenue and East Broad Street late Wednesday morning.
The woman, whose identity was not released, fought back and called police.
A detailed description of the man and van were not immediately available.
