The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office took a man into custody after a multi-county chase on Monday night.

According to investigators, Kenneth Swick allegedly struck a park ranger’s cruiser at Tappan Lake State Park in Harrison County.

Deputies tracked Swick, 46, through Tuscarawas County where he eventually crashed his vehicle near U.S. 36 and Township Road 104.

Swick then fled into a wooded area that led him into Coshocton County. Investigators pursued Swick until a K9 unit discovered him.

Investigators said that Swick suffered several dog bites before being taken into custody. He was transported for medical attention before being transferred to the Coshocton County Justice Center.

Details about the incident involving the park ranger in Harrison County were not immediately clear.
