Firefighter worked to knock down flames that destroyed a southwest side home overnight.
Flames engulfed a home, located along the 2100 block of Big Run Avenue, just before 1 a.m.
Fire investigators said that crews had a difficult time controlling the flames as neighbors reported hearing an explosion and wires were down in the area.
Investigators were working to learn the cause of the fire. No one was inside the home at the time of the blaze.
