Police were investigating a man shot by two gunmen while walking down an east side street early Sunday.
According to investigators, the victim, Shannon Williams, was walking eastbound on E. 2nd Avenue near St. Clair Avenue at about 12:54 a.m. when he was approached by two individuals from an alley.
One of the men pulled out a gun and shot Williams, 42, several times in the upper body and then ran off.
Police said Williams was critically injured.
The gunman were not immediately identified and no arrests were made.
