The Licking County Coroner’s Office said that a man was shot and killed after breaking into a home early Sunday morning.
According to investigators, the man, whose identity was not immediately released, broke into a home in the 400 block of Sunset Street.
Once inside the home, the man allegedly used a gun to prod a sleeping man inside the home awake. When the man inside the home awoke, he fatally shot the intruder, the Licking County Coroner’s Office said.
The identities of the two men involved were not immediately released. The events surrounding the shooting were under investigation.
