A mother and a truck driver are now cited after a crash that sent a 3-year-old girl to the hospital in May.

Benedicta Mahama was cited for failure to restrain a child, Jodi Gbaruk.

Gbaruk was ejected from an SUV that was traveling south along Avery Road when it collided with a construction vehicle that was driving west along Brand Road.

The truck driver was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Police said the child is still at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
