Pair Of Peacocks Call Pickaway County Post Office Home

A pair of peacocks are serving as greeters at a Pickaway County U.S. Post Office.

The birds have been spotted outside of the Orient Branch of the post office. The birds have been roaming across the parking lot and roosting on the roof.

“One of them is really blue and really, really pretty, but they started making a bunch of noises and stuff,” said Orient resident Victoria Orsbon.

Daisy Orsbon said that the birds have not bothered anyone.

“They just stand right in front of the door and they just look around,” said Daisy Orsbon.

Post office officials said that they did not know where the birds came from.

Residents said that there are a number of nearby farms that have peacocks, but farm owners are not claiming the birds.
