The Ohio Department of Natural Resources placed "spider blocks" into Antrim Lake on Thursday.
The blocks get their name because of the piping that comes from the top of the cinder blocks used in the construction.
The block holds the piping in place and it creates a man-made, yet environmentally friendly, habitat for fish.
The idea was created by Upper Arlington student Ben Foster as part of his senior project. Once the blocks are put at the bottom of the lake, they help attract fish.
The bonus is they do not snag fishing line and don't deteriorate like branches and bushes.
