Medics responded to a report of people trapped inside a vehicle on Wednesday evening.
According to law enforcement officials, a tree fell along Pleasant Valley Road Northeast, trapping Craig Chadwick, 49, and his wife Diane Chadwick, 48, shortly before 5 p.m.
The people were removed from the vehicle and transported to Grant Medical Center in unknown conditions.
Rain Rock Road and Long Run Road also were closed because of fallen trees.
