Police said Wednesday that they charged a man in connection with a weekend robbery.
Officers responded to shoplifting complaint at the Circle K, located at 907 E. Main St., at about 4 p.m. Tuesday.
While investigating the area, officers found a man matching the description of the shoplifter in an nearby alleyway.
The man, identified as Joshua C. Winegardner, was arrested and taken in for questioning. Police said that evidence was developed that linked Winegardner, 21, to a robbery at the store that occurred
on Sunday.
Winegardner was charged with aggravated robbery, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a drug abuse instrument.
