A new way to make methamphetamine is causing an up-tick in meth labs, according to the Fairfield County Sheriff’s office.

Fairfield County Sheriff’s officials said that they have discovered eight meth labs throughout the county in just the past four weeks.

The Lancaster Eagle Gazette reported that law enforcement contributed the increase in part to the so called one-pot method.

The one-pot method allows the drug to be made in a single plastic container. The method is more likely to cause fires.
