Delaware police arrested a southeastern Ohio man wanted in connection with a June fatal double shooting.

Timothy L. Stevens was taken into custody Tuesday morning at a Delaware home after police received a tip on Monday.

A search for Stevens prompted the temporary relocation of camp participants at Ohio Wesleyan University, located at 61 S. Sandusky St.

Stevens, 29, of Chesterhill, was charged with shooting and killing John Davis III, 36, of Malta, on June 22.

Investigators said that the two men argued inside a car in McConnelsville, when Stevens allegedly shot Davis in the head three times.

A 2-year-old in the car with them was shot in the leg, according to the Morgan County Prosecutor's Office. The child was treated and released.

A 15-year-old girl and another woman were inside the car and were not injured.
