Cambridge Police said an officer shot a person Monday while they tried to serve him with a felony warrant.

Police said it happened at the Meadow Park Residences around 2:30 p.m.

Chief of Police Richard Wayt said the felony suspect refused to answer the door when police arrived.

Officers said the person was armed and made threats to kill officers and commit suicide.

Police Chief Wayt said officers entered the house and shot the suspect when they tried to arrest them.

The suspect, who has not been named, was transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
