Police were called to the scene of a burning home early Monday morning.
Firefighters responded to the home, located along Shirlene Drive, just after midnight. The blaze started in the basement of the home and spread to the first floor.
Fire crews said that that they found something that "did not belong" while investigating the basement and called police. Details about the out-of-place item were not immediately released.
The American Red Cross was called to assist the family. Investigators said that the fire caused about $50,000 in damage.
No one inside the home was injured during the blaze.
