A former teacher and Union County Sheriff’s Office employee pleaded not guilty on Monday in connection to possessing nude images of children.
Allegations that Todd German possessed child pornography surfaced in March when the 50-year-old resigned from the Delaware Area Career Center, where he served as a teacher.
School officials said that they found a flash drive containing images of nude children in his desk.
German was also suspended from his role as a special deputy with the Union County Sheriff’s office when a search warrant was issued for his home. He resigned about an hour after being suspended.
German had been with the sheriff’s office since 1983.
German was released on Monday on his own recognizance.
