Agents Raid Jeffersonville Carryout For Synthetic Drugs

A woman was arrested and jailed on Thursday in connection with trafficking synthetic marijuana.

Mandeep Kaur of Washington Court House was charged with trafficking controlled substances after agents with the Ohio Investigative Unit and deputies from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office raided the Multani & Saini, Inc. Shell Food Mart, located at 220 State St.

In addition to criminal charges against Kaur, administrative charges were filed against the business and would be presented to the Liquor Control Commission for its consideration.

The administrative violations could result in fines and or suspension and possible revocation of the store’s liquor permit.

The administrative charges include four counts of drug sales, five counts of drug possession, two counts of drug paraphernalia sales and two counts of drug paraphernalia possession.

The amount of synthetic marijuana that was seized from the store was not immediately released.
