A 61-year-old man died after being hospitalized for a heat-related illness.

Kenneth Yerian died at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital on Monday, according to The Zanesville Times Recorder.

Police broke down the door to Yerian’s house after neighbors said that they heard no response from the man.

Officer’s said that it had reached about 104 degrees inside Yerian’s home, located on Superior Street.

The Licking County Coroner’s Office confirmed three heat-related deaths earlier this week.

Licking County residents Larry Pierce, 72, Shirley Amos, 84, and Margaret Studer, 85, all died inside their homes, which lost power in last week’s wind and thunderstorms.
