The American Red Cross said that central Ohio collection teams voted to unionize.
Affected are the 200 employees that work at blood donation locations.
Red Cross officials said that management and union officials would work to create a contract agreement within the next few months.
The American Red Cross has about 500 employees in central Ohio.
