The Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigated the death of a man found dead inside an insulation factory.

A janitor found the 57-year-old man inside the Newark Owens Corning Plant, located at 400 Case St., on Sunday.

The man, whose identity was not immediately released, responded to the plant with a coworker on Saturday to check on a sprinkler alarm.

A representative of the Licking County Coroner's Office said that they would wait for word from OSHA before determining a cause of death.

The circumstances surrounding the man's death were not immediately determined. It is standard operating procedure for OSHA to investigate workplace deaths.
