The City of Dublin wants to make the intersection of Cosgray and Shier Rings roads safer.
Construction started Tuesday on the city's 12th roundabout.
The intersection of Cosgray and Shier Rings roads is closed for construction of the roundabout.
According to a crash study, this intersection has seen injury crashes more than two times that of other locations in Dublin.
The City of Dublin also recently reviewed the crash history at other roundabouts.
The statistics show overall safety is improved.
This project is slated to be complete early this fall.
