Gov. John Kasich issued an executive order on Tuesday to put more safeguards in place for the drilling of injection wells around the state.
The practice is commonly referred to as "fracking."
Kasich's order requires additional testing before an injection well is given a permit.
It also allows the state to set the pressure allowed in the well and shut down that well if that pressure is exceeded.
