Police say a woman was in the middle of the road when she was struck and killed early Tuesday morning.
Police said that the woman, whose identity was not immediately released, was in the middle of the road when she was struck by a taxicab along S.R. 315 south at Interstate 670.
The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. The woman was struck underneath the West Broad Street Bridge.
Officers said that they would continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the woman's death. The road was closed for more than five hours while police investigated the crash.
