Man Who Ran From Deputies Arrested

Deputies arrested a man who ran from them on Monday morning.

According to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, Richard A. Harris Jr. fled from investigators after shots were fired at a home, located off Fancher Road, at about 11 p.m. Sunday. Three women were forced to evacuate the home.

Deputies said that they discovered Harris' clothing while searching the area near Harlem Road.

One woman was hospitalized after the incident, the nature of her injuries was not immediately known. The identities of the three women were not immediately available.

Investigators arrested and transported Harris to the Delaware County Jail at about 5:45 a.m. Monday. He faced charges of assault, domestic violence and disorderly conduct.

The events leading to shots being fired at the home were under investigation.
