Child Dead In Multi-Vehicle Crash Along S.R. 13

A child is dead after a multi-vehicle crash in Licking County Monday afternoon.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Addison Craft, 8, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that occurred shortly before 2 p.m. along state Route 13 just south of Utica in Licking County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Kaydence Harstine, 6, was taken by helicopter to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.  The Highway Patrol said it incorrectly identified this child as Caitlin Craft earlier in the afternoon. 

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Andrew Gayheart, 20, was driving a car southbound on S.R. 13 near Ginger Hill Road when he lost control, went left of center and struck another vehicle, driven by Brenda Hoadley, 52, of Newark.

Both of the drivers were taken to Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. Their conditions were unknown.
