Discussion
It's hot around Central Ohio on this Sunday, but not nearly as hot as yesterday! We are seeing highs around 90 degrees but with the humidity it still feels hotter and we are under a Heat Advisory until 6pm. We do have the chance for a few showers and storms today, especially south of Columbus. Scioto County is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10pm. The biggest threats will be hail and damaging wind. The chance will continue into tonight, especially early. Then we will see partly cloudy skies and temps dropping into the mid-60s.
Expect conditions to get cooler and more comfortable to start the workweek. Monday will be partly to mostly sunny with highs in the seasonable mid- to upper-80s and less humidity.
Right now it looks we'll stay seasonable through the workweek with another chance for showers and storms Friday into the weekend.
Alerts: Heat Advisory until 6pm. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Scioto County until 4:30pm. Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Scioto County until 10pm.
Inconvenient Weather: Slight chance for a few storms this afternoon into tonight.
Planning Your Day: Stay alert this afternoon into tonight for a few storms. Get ready for cooler temps and more comfortable conditions to start the workweek!
