Residents along one Clintonville street were sitting outside to try to cool off from the heat inside their homes.
One woman was brought to tears Friday night when talking about her loss of power during massive summer storms.
"My nerves are just frazzled," resident Shelly Snow said. "We take wash clothes, one here on my head, one on the back of my neck and one on my belly."
She is borrowing a generator, but said in order to save gas money, she is only using it at night, which is forcing her family and her dogs to get through the outage.
"Taking lots of cold showers," Snow said. "You're extra clean."
She said she cannot go to a hotel because of her dogs. Now she is hoping her electricity will be restored today or tomorrow.
