One couple said Wednesday that they have waited patiently for crews to provide much needed relief.
Gary Brink said that he was out in the storm when winds knocked trees onto his home.
"While I was actually driving around, I was thinking about these trees," said Brink. "I thought, 'Oh man, I hope those trees don't fall down on me.'"
Then came a call from friends, advising him to return home. When he returned, he found his home was supporting the weight of the fallen trees.
The Brinks had to wait to get a permit for a crane, which was scheduled to arrive on Thursday. Their street will be closed while crews remove the heavy debris.
Once the trees are removed, the Brinks will be able to survey the full scope of the damage.
