Many in central Ohio awoke to survey the path of destruction left by overnight storms on Thursday morning.
Russ Conley found two large oak trees had snapped in half and fallen onto his 28-foot camper. The trees also damaged a Cub Scout parade float.
“We were starting to clean up the float last night,” Conley said. “I parked it underneath for shade.”
The trees just missed striking Conley’s home. He said that he felt lucky the trees did not cause more damage.
“We feel incredibly lucky that no one was hurt, anything can be replaced except for us,” Conley said.
There were no reports of injuries in the storm. The total cost of the damage was not immediately known.
