The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office said that a boy died Wednesday after he was pulled from his babysitter’s swimming pool.
According to investigators, the boy was found in the pool, located in southwest Lancaster at about 4 p.m.
The 20-month-old boy was transported to Fairfield Medical Center before being airlifted to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, in Columbus.
Investigators said that the boy had not been left alone for a long time. Deputies said that they would continue to investigate the child’s death.
