Police said that a boy was found shot in the leg in the parking lot of a north side restaurant early Wednesday morning.
Police said the boy, believed to be 12-years-old, was shot along Gibbard Avenue and walked to the White Castle restaurant, located along East Fifth Avenue, for help. He was found with a group of other children
The boy was transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where he was expected to recover from his injuries. The events leading to the shooting were under investigation.
Police said that they had not taken anyone into custody in connection with the shooting.
There were no other reports of injuries. The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
